NZ Civil Defence Groups, Federated Farmers and ourselves, the Rural Support Trust, are asking people to NOT donate goods and instead donate directly to relief funds. Please - do not show up with donated goods such as blankets, food, clothing or stock feed We know that donating goods seems like the right thing to do but often the donations don’t match what farmer, growers and communities need. It’s amazing to see how much aroha is going out to affected communities across New Zealand so let’s make sure that none of that compassion goes to waste. Monetary donations are the most useful way to support affected farmers, growers and rural communities as it means organisations can provide what is really needed to those affected. Money donated via this page will go DIRECTLY to farmers and growers when it is required. We have a Givealittle Page and in the comments you can type in which region you want to donate too.
