Rural Women's Mental Health Podcast Series with Ag in Conversation

The series runs for the month of September with 4 episodes.

Ag in Conversation are excited to launch a podcast series focused on Rural Women’s Mental Health. 

This month-long series will explore the unique challenges that rural women face, from the emotional impact of moving away from familiar surroundings to balancing careers, raising families, and starting businesses in rural settings.  They will also highlight the incredible resilience of rural women, the importance of community support, and strategies for maintaining mental wellness.

 

 

The four episodes highlight

  • Episode 1 with a lady who has been through depression herself - Deanne Parkes
  • Episode 2 with a dairy farming women whose partner has been through depression and their journey in supporting them - Tyler Langford
  • Episode 3 about what we all can do to keep mentally well in our everyday lives - Annabelle Matson
  • Episode 4 with a rural psychologist or similar talking about what we need to look out for in our friends, family and neighbours, what to do, when to reach for help - Kate Steadman

The podcasts will be released each Friday morning at 4.00am, starting Friday 6 September 2024.
