Freemasons backing Rural Support Waikato
The 12 Masonic Lodges in the Waikato District have made a generous contribution of $26,000 to the Waikato-Hauraki-Coromandel Rural Support Trust (the Trust). Lodge Copernicus in Cambridge lead the fundraising efforts by making a significant donation to the Trust. This was then supported all the Waikato District Lodges and the Freemasons Charity.
This marks the third occasion that Lodge Copernicus Freemasons have contributed to the Trust, highlighting their commitment to community engagement and assisting those in need.
The money will be used to fund professional help for Rural Support clients who need it, but are too stretched financially to be able to fund it. This generous contribution will ensure that vital services such as mental health support, financial advice, and crisis management are accessible to Trust clients in rural communities. The support from the Freemasons not only highlights their commitment to community welfare but also strengthens the resources available to the Trust, enabling it to extend its reach and impact. This collaboration exemplifies how community organisations and local initiatives can come together to create a network of support, fostering resilience and well-being in rural areas.
The Rural Support Trust is immensely grateful for the Freemasons' continued generosity and dedication, which will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of many families and individuals navigating challenging times.
